CD - Synchronization with Applications

The CD service operation will be terminated. It is not possible to order the service; existing customer services will continue to operate until the complete shutdown, and we will inform you of the date in time by e-mail.

In this article you will learn:

File and folder synchronization

File and folder synchronization ensures that any change to selected files or folders on a given device (computer, phone, ...) is immediately and automatically reflected in the file copy in the CD cloud storage, and vice versa.

Warning: if you delete a synchronized file on one storage, CD will delete it from all synchronized folders!

Connecting NextCloud with CD

This guide assumes that you have downloaded and installed the NextCloud ⧉ application. This is a third-party application, and apart from the connection to the CD service, we do not provide support for it. Look for information in the NextCloud ⧉ documentation.

When connecting the NextCloud application with CD, proceed as follows:

  1. Open the NextCloud application.
  2. In the Add new account window, select Sign in to your NextCloud.
  3. Enter https://cd.wedos.com into the Server address field.
  4. In the newly opened window, click the Sign in button.
  5. Sign in to WEDOS iD.
  6. Click the Grant access button.
  7. Close the window with the access granted notification.

Synchronizing files and folders with NextCloud

If you have successfully connected the NextCloud application with your WEDOS CD, you can set which folders and files you want to synchronize. Choose the synchronization options from the side:

  • Server – You can synchronize everything from the server or select specific folders that will be synchronized with your PC.
  • Local folders – Choose which folder on your PC will be synchronized with WEDOS CD.

If the local folder is not empty, decide whether you want to delete the existing files or keep them.
