Automatic action scheduling
Automatic actions allow various actions to be executed on a selected virtual machine at a predefined time. The most common actions include:
- suspend – suspend (similar to Windows sleep mode)
- resume – start or resume from suspension
- reboot – restart
- reboot-hard – restart (shuts down the VPS "forcibly")
- poweroff – shut down
- poweroff-hard – shut down "forcibly"
Setting up an automatic action
Access the automatic action settings interface in the following steps:
- Log in to the ON SunStone interface ⧉.
- In the left menu, select Instances Virtual Machines.
- From the list, select the VM for which you want to set the action.
- In the top menu, select the Actions tab.

Adding a new action
Add a new action by clicking the green Add action button on the right in the action overview header.
- New scheduled action: Select the action type and the time of execution.
- Relative time: Instead of a specific time, you can choose how long after saving the Cloud will execute the action.
- Regularly: Opens the menu for setting up recurring execution of the action.
After completing the settings, click the Add button.

Editing and deleting an action
You can edit or delete existing actions by clicking the corresponding icon in the action overview – for delete and for edit.

Frequently asked questions
Can I set actions for the entire Cloud as well?
Unfortunately, we do not yet offer action scheduling for the entire Cloud.
