This guide applies to dedicated servers HP ProLiant DL320e Gen8 v2.
In this article you will learn:
KVM Connection
The KVM application requires a Java environment.
You can obtain the iLO KVM access application by following these steps:
- In your browser, enter the IP address of the server from the customer administration or from the service setup email, including the port, in the address bar.
- On the login screen, enter the username and password from the service setup email.
- In the left menu, open Information Overview.
- Under Integrated Remote Console, click Java WebStart.
- Download and run the file iLO-jirc.jnlp.

Booting from ISO
If you have the KVM interface open, boot from ISO using these steps:
- Using Power Switch Momentary press, power on the server.
- Through the Virtual Drives tab, connect your ISO:
- From your computer using Image File CD/DVD-ROM.
- From the Internet using URL CD/DVD-ROM.
- After connecting, perform a restart via Keyboard >> CTRL+ALT+DEL.

For a significantly faster installation, we recommend connecting installation media of the netinstall type.
RAID Setup
The server has 2 physical drives.
In the default configuration, the dedicated server is in AHCI SATA mode. In this mode, RAID is configured in software.
To change to SATA Legacy Support, to Dynamic HP Smart Array B120i RAID Support, or back to AHCI SATA, contact authorized support via the contact form ⧉.
Before contacting support, boot into BIOS. The usual response time for a request during normal business hours is within a few hours; outside this time it may take longer.
Changing the mode may result in data loss, so make sure to back it up outside the server.
SATA Legacy is suitable for older operating systems that do not support another mode. It is retained for backward compatibility. In this mode, RAID is also configured in software.
Mode B120i supports RAID 0 and 1. It is configured in the HP Smart Array utility. For this mode, the operating system must include drivers.
