This guide applies to Fujitsu RX100 dedicated servers.
In this article you will learn:
KVM Connection
The KVM application requires a Java environment.
You can obtain the iRMC KVM access application by following these steps:
- In your browser, enter the server IP address from the customer administration or from the service setup email, including the port.
- On the login screen, enter the username and password from the service setup email.
- In the Console Redirection >> Video Redirection tab, click the Start Video redirection button.

Booting from ISO
If you have the KVM interface open, boot from ISO by following these steps:
- Select Remote Storage Remote Storage…
- Choose the installation media:
- Select a device from the list on your computer (CD/DVD, USB, …) and click Connect. This will connect the storage device to the server.
- Click the Add… button and select the ISO file stored on the connected computer. After selecting the file, click the Connect button.
- Perform a restart using the Ctrl-Alt-Del button.
- Press F12 to open the boot menu and select the connected drive.

For a significantly faster installation, we recommend connecting netinstall-type installation media.
The CD/DVD remains connected to the server until the KVM window is closed, or you can disconnect it by clicking the Disconnect button.
RAID Setup
The server has 2 physical drives.
The following instructions apply to variants with a hardware RAID controller. For variants without this controller, set up RAID in software.
To configure RAID on a server with an HW controller, start it during the boot sequence. Follow these steps:
- When prompted with Press Ctrl-C to start LSI Corp Configuration Utility, press Ctrl+C.
- Select the required controller and confirm with Enter.
- Select RAID Properties.
- Add or configure the drives.

When creating a RAID array, choose the IM option. We do not recommend the Integrated Stripping option; although it offers greater resulting capacity (combining drives), if one drive fails you will lose all data.
You can also set one of the drives as a Hot Spare type, which will automatically start synchronizing with the working drive if another drive fails. In the case of IM, you can keep existing data on one drive and synchronize the second one with it.
