If your domain registrar does not support contact transfer, create a new contact.

Contact transfer
If the contact already exists in the CZ.NIC registry but is not with us, you can transfer it. MojeID contacts are an exception.
Transfer the contact in these steps:
- Log in to the customer administration ⧉.
- In the top menu, select the Domains tab.
- In the left menu, expand CZ Tools.
- Select Contact transfer.
- Enter the contact name and click the send password link.
- Enter the authorization password into the form, check the consents, and click the Submit button.

The contact transfer will appear in the system within 30 minutes.
You cannot transfer contacts from other registries. Use another existing contact with correct details, or create a new one.
Moving a contact between customer accounts
If the contact is registered with WEDOS but is not in your customer account, you can transfer it by synchronizing according to active domains. If, on the other hand, you want to hand the contact over to another customer, follow the chapter Transfer of a domain contact.
Synchronization according to active domains
By synchronizing contacts according to active domains, you will move all domain contacts of the given registry that belong to domains in your account into your customer account. Proceed as follows:
- Log in to the customer administration ⧉.
- In the top menu, select the Domains tab.
- In the left menu, expand TLD Tools, where TLD is the specific domain extension or its group.
- Select Contact list.
- Click the Synchronize according to domains in the customer account button.

Transfer of a domain contact
If you need to transfer a domain contact to another customer, find out their ID (the number displayed in the administration in the upper right next to the customer's name) and login (sign-in email). Then proceed as follows:
- Log in to the customer administration ⧉.
- In the top menu, select the Domains tab.
- In the left menu, expand TLD Tools, where TLD is the specific domain extension or its group.
- Select Contact list.
- Select the contact you want to transfer.
- In the box Move contact to another customer account, fill in the ID and Login of the new account.
- Confirm the transfer with the Move button.

Frequently asked questions
Why can't I transfer existing contacts from other registries?
These registries do not allow contact transfer, usually for personal data protection reasons.
How do I transfer a contact for a domain other than CZ?
We do not support transferring contacts other than those in the CZ.NIC registry. Use another existing contact with correct details, or create a new one.
How do I transfer a domain?
Follow the instructions in Domains – transfer.
How do I transfer a contact at the CZ.NIC registry to MojeID?
In this respect, MojeID behaves as a separate registry. Such contacts are exclusively managed by CZ.NIC, and it is not possible to convert one type to another. So if you want to switch from a regular domain contact to MojeID, create a new MojeID ⧉ contact in their interface, and for domains with the original contact change the owner of CZ domains to this contact. If the original contact remains unused, it will eventually expire.
