Diagnostics toolset
Using this toolset available in the customer administration, you can check a large number of possible issues you may encounter with domains and webhostings. These may include service expirations, their interconnections, webhosting performance, and public domain data.
You can access basic domain diagnostics in these steps:
- Log in to the customer administration[administrace].
- In the top menu, select Domains.
- In the table, select the specific service you want to diagnose.
- In the left menu, select Domain diagnostics.
Domain diagnostics is also available for Webhosting and WMS.

The diagnostics toolset currently contains three tools:
- Basic diagnostics is used for a basic check of service status. It very quickly identifies problems with DNS servers and records, or with expiration.
- Web application performance is based on the external WebPageTest tool, which subjects the specified web page to a thorough performance test.
- WHOIS loads publicly available domain data from an external service.
Basic diagnostics
This diagnostic generates the following tables with diagnostic data:
- Domain in the registry contains information about the domain taken from the registry, especially the registrar, expiration date, and set DNS servers (NSSET).
- Domain in the system supplements the domain information from the registry with internal WEDOS data.
- Webhosting for the domain contains data about webhosting with the (sub)domain name, if it exists.
- DNS contains primarily diagnostic information about DNS servers and records.
- Serverhosting for the domain and VPS ON contain information about the servers to which the domain is pointed, if they exist.
- WMS webhosting for the domain contains data about webhosting with the (sub)domain name, if it exists on the WMS service.
Domain in the registry
In this table you will find basic information about the domain as seen by the registry.
- Domain: the name of the diagnosed domain.
- IDN ACE: transcription of the diagnosed domain name if it uses characters from foreign alphabets (for example, diacritics).
- We register TLD: information on whether the given extension can be registered with us.
- Availability: information on whether the domain is registered or not.
- Registrar: information on whether we register this particular domain or not, and the name of the domain registrar.
- Status: an overview of domain statuses, for example domain operation restrictions (clientHold and similar).
- Expiration: expiration date and number of days remaining until that date (negative numbers represent time after expiration).
- DNS: list of DNS servers used by the domain according to registry data. More information can be found in the article Domains – DNS servers (NSSET).
- DNS status: DNS server settings and a list of any collisions.
- DNSSEC status: DNSSEC settings and possible collisions. More information can be found in the article Domains – DNSSEC.

Domain in the system
In this table you will find additional information about the domain from the VEDOS system.
- Recorded: information on whether the system already records the domain (for example, if it was registered with us in the past, or was accepted for transfer).
- Status: information on whether the domain can be managed in the system (active) or not (deactivated, deleted).
- Expiration: expiration date and number of days remaining until that date (negative numbers represent time after expiration).
- Owner email address verification: information on whether the domain owner has verified their email address (if the registry requires verification).

If, for a generic domain (com, net, biz, info, name), you see the status not required for Owner email address verification, there is a possibility that your email address is not verified anyway. The actual status can be provided by customer support ⧉.
Webhosting for the domain
In this table you will find data about webhosting with the (sub)domain name, if it exists. If you use the WebSite ⧉ service, you will find here data about the hosting assigned to it.
- Webhosting: information on whether a webhosting service is set up for the (sub)domain and whether it is located in the given customer account.
- Status: short description of the webhosting status:
- waiting for payment – the payment has not yet arrived, or was not successfully matched (incorrect variable symbol or amount),
- being set up – takes at most 1 hour,
- active – the webhosting is fully functional,
- suspended – the webhosting is out of service, but you can restore it by paying for the service; lasts 30 days after expiration, service completion shortens this time to 7 days,
- deleted – the webhosting is completely deleted and cannot be restored on our side.
- Expiration: expiration date and number of days remaining until that date (negative numbers represent time after expiration).
- Cluster: the place on the server where the hosting is stored. This is especially useful when monitoring the Status ⧉ service.
- A records: information on whether the domain's IPv4 address points to the given webhosting.
- AAAA records: information on whether the domain's IPv6 address points to the given webhosting. AAAA records are optional.
- MX records: information on whether the webhosting uses (at least partially) our mail servers.
- Email accounts – space: current information about email storage usage.
- Email accounts – sent (PHP): number of emails sent on this day via the PHP mail() function.

DNS
In this table you will find basic information about DNS servers and records.
- DNS: list of DNS servers used by the domain, determined by a separate diagnostic. If it differs from the DNS in the Domain in the registry table, the DNS servers are probably being changed.
- DNS status: summary diagnostic of DNS servers.
- A: list of the domain's A records (without subdomains).
- AAAA: list of the domain's AAAA records (without subdomains).
- MX: list of the domain's MX records (without subdomains).
- WDNS: information on whether the domain uses WEDOS DNS.
- DNSSEC: information on whether DNSSEC security is active for the domain. More information can be found in the article Domains – DNSSEC.

Serverhosting for the domain
In this table you will find basic information about serverhosting for the domain. This may be a dedicated server, VPS SSD service, VPS HDD, redirect server (if redirect is set for the domain), or a Miniweb server.
- Serverhosting: Name and number of the serverhosting. Clicking the magnifying glass button opens the server detail.
- Type: type of server – virtual or dedicated.
- Status: short description of the serverhosting status:
- waiting for setup – the payment has not yet arrived, or was not successfully matched (incorrect variable symbol or amount), or the service is being set up (within 1 hour of payment receipt),
- active – the server is fully functional,
- suspended – the webhosting is out of service, but you can restore it by paying for the service; lasts 30 days after expiration, service completion shortens this time to 7 days.
- Expiration: expiration date and number of days remaining until that date (negative numbers represent time after expiration).
- IP addresses: IPv4 addresses assigned to the serverhosting.
- Cluster: the place where the virtual server is stored.
- VPS status: overview of the number of CPUs the server uses, server status, and network.

VPS ON
In this table you will find basic information about the VPS ON serverhosting for the domain.

Frequently asked questions
How current is the data in diagnostics?
Data freshness usually ranges from minutes (for example service status) to hours (DNS servers).
According to diagnostics, everything is active, but the services still do not work. Why is that?
Even active services can show errors. This may be due to:
- service limitations – monitor the Status ⧉ service;
- out-of-date information in diagnostics (applies to DNS records and servers) – wait at least 1 hour;
- another issue – look for a solution according to the error message, or contact support ⧉.
How can I tell whether the issue on Status affects my webhosting?
You can find the service cluster where your webhosting is located using diagnostics, the Webhosting for the domain box, Cluster item.
I set A/AAAA/MX records, but according to diagnostics they do not point to the webhosting. What is happening?
Check that you made the record change on the DNS servers you actually use. If the records still do not match, it is possible that the record change itself is still in progress (usually up to 1 hour), or the server change (can take up to 48 hours).
Why do I have different DNS server names in the Domain in the registry and DNS tables?
The DNS servers were probably changed within the last 48 hours.
How can I find more detailed (sub)domain records?
If you have DNS records with us, you can access them according to the instructions DNS – Domain records.
What does Email accounts – space 0MB (?%) of GB mean?
This Webhosting on WMS does not have email inboxes enabled. You can enable inboxes by clicking the Mail settings link in the left menu.
