WebMail - Mail Sorting

Screenshots are taken in the new Elastic template. If you are using the older Larry template, follow the text instructions, or temporarily change the template according to the manual.

In this article, you will learn:

Mail sorting using folders

WebMail includes separate folders for incoming mail, drafts, sent mail, spam, and trash by default. Inside each of these folders, as well as separately, you can create a new folder and move messages into it manually or automatically using an incoming mail filter.

Creating a new folder

Create a new folder or subfolder using this procedure:

  1. Log in to the WebMail ⧉ client.
  2. Go to Settings.
  3. In the left menu, select Folders.
  4. Click the Create button.
  5. Fill in the settings and confirm with the Save button.

You can set the following for a folder:

  • Folder name.
  • Parent folder. Selecting – – – creates the folder outside the other folders.
  • Message list view mode. You can choose either List, which displays each message individually, or Conversations, which groups messages and their replies.

Emptying a folder

You can empty a folder, meaning move all its emails to Trash. This also applies to Trash subfolders. The only exception is Trash itself, where emptying permanently deletes the emails.

  1. Log in to the WebMail ⧉ client.
  2. Go to Settings.
  3. In the left menu, select Folders.
  4. In the list, select the folder you want to empty.
  5. Click the Empty button.

Deleting a folder

Deleting a folder completely removes all emails contained in that folder.

Proceed as with emptying a folder, but instead of Empty, choose the Delete option in the final step.

Frequently asked questions

What if I want to delete a folder without losing the emails?

First move all emails to another folder. At the bottom of the client, click the Select button, choose All, and then drag the messages to another selected folder. You can then safely delete the original folder.
