Forwarding from a mailbox
To forward email from a Webhosting or WebSite mailbox, first open the mailbox settings by following these steps:
- Log in to the customer administration ⧉.
- In the top menu, select Hosting services Webhosting, Mailhosting, WMS, or WebSite.
- From the menu, select the service whose mailbox you want to forward email from.
- In the left menu, select Email mailboxes.
- Click the magnifying glass button next to the name of the mailbox you want to forward.
Manage service mailboxes:
In the email mailbox management interface, find the Forwarding box and set up to 15 email addresses here where you want the mail to be forwarded (separate individual addresses with a semicolon).
By checking the Delete forwarded messages option, the system will permanently delete forwarded emails immediately after sending. Messages deleted this way cannot be restored.
Common problems
Common problems with email forwarding include:
Undelivered forwarded emails
Problem: Forwarded emails do not arrive in the destination mailbox.
Cause: The most common cause is incorrect domain setup in DNS.
Solution: Check whether the domain's MX records are correctly pointed to the hosting, and that messages really do arrive in the mailbox you are forwarding from (for example via the WebMail interface). Also check the SPAM folder. If the emails are not there either, create an SPF record on the domain, or add WEDOS to the existing SPF record, according to the guide Emails - SPF record.
