Data storage
Data storage is primarily used for backing up files, whether websites, emails, or personal data. However, with the development of technologies, the demands for expanded file work are increasing, from sharing and editing online to the functionality of a full-fledged digital office.
We therefore offer data storage in two variants:
- Disk ⧉: The Disk service is our basic storage. It serves as a reliable and easily accessible backup and archive primarily for websites and files from personal or company computers. For backing up Webhosting and VPS SSD servers, we offer the Disk service in a size of 5 GB (Webhosting) or 10 GB (VPS) free of charge.
- WEDOS Cloud Disk (CD) – retired: Cloud disk was a modern storage solution based on the NextCloud platform, intended primarily for file sharing, from photos to documents, in real time.
Provisioning and operation of storage
Because these are two different services, Disk and Cloud Disk have their own order forms. It is also not possible to automatically switch from one service to the other.
Disk
You can set up WEDOS Disk by following these steps:
- Order the service ⧉.
- Wait for the service to be set up (within 1 hour of payment acceptance).
- Connect the disk to the website or device using one of the supported protocols.
- Download and send data as needed. You can automate backups using your own script or third-party software.
With the Webhosting service or a server, you can get Disk free of charge.
Cloud Disk (CD)
The operation of the CD service will be terminated. It is not possible to set up the service, existing customer services will continue to operate until full termination, and we will inform you in advance by e-mail about the date of termination.
