IPv6 on VPS SSD
VPS SSD servers have two IPv6 subnets assigned in the default configuration, one in the /64 range and the other in /48. In the default configuration, one IPv6 address is enabled in the administration.
The administration does not pass information about the enabled IPv6 addresses of the server in any way, so you set them manually on the operating system's network interface.
Enabling IPv6 in the administration
In the default configuration of VPS SSD, one IPv6 address is enabled in the administration.
Access the management of enabled IPv6 addresses using these steps:
- Log in to the customer administration ⧉.
- In the top menu, select Server services VPS SSD.
- Select the service whose IPv6 addresses you want to edit from the list.
- In the left menu, select IPv6 enabling.

In this interface, you can add and remove enabled addresses.
New IPv6 address
Enable a new IPv6 address in the enabled IPv6 address management interface using these steps:
- In the IPv6 address assignment box, select the prefix of the chosen IPv6 subnet.
- Enter the rest of the IPv6 address into the field next to the prefix.
- Fill in the captcha.
- Add the IPv6 address using the >> button.
- Turn the VPS off and on in the service detail.

Complete the address enabling by turning the VPS off and on again (a normal restart is not enough).
You can then also activate the enabled IPv6 address on the network interface.
