This guide addresses the specifics of setting up databases for the WMS service. Otherwise, except for the exceptions stated in this article, the same procedures apply as for Webhosting databases, which you can find in the article Webhosting – Databases.
In this article you will learn:
- How WMS databases work

WMS databases
Unlike the Webhosting service, where the database size is determined by the service plan, with WMS you allocate resources to the databases directly. Detailed information can be found in the article WMS – Increasing parameters.
WMS service databases exist separately from its webhostings. This has the following consequences:
- You set up and manage databases directly in the WMS interface, not in its webhosting.
- You can assign a separate operator to the database.
Setting up a WMS database
Set up a new WMS database by following these steps:
- Log in to the customer administration ⧉.
- In the top menu, select Hosting Services WMS.
- From the list of services, choose the one where you want to create a new database.

Changing the operator of a WMS database
By default, the database operator is the operator corresponding to the WMS service. If you want to change it, edit the Service operator details form in the database detail, check the consents, and save. The system will generate and send a new data processing agreement.
