This article covers the creation and deletion of web hosting on the WMS service. Instructions for specific web hosting settings can be found in the Webhosting category.
Databases are not part of web hosting on the WMS service. You manage them separately according to the instructions in WMS – Databases.
In this article you will learn:
Creating a new WMS web hosting
To run a website on WMS, you need to have at least one web hosting set up. The number of websites you can create on WMS is limited only by the available space and performance.
Create a new web hosting using these steps:
- Log in to the customer administration ⧉.
- In the top menu, select Hosting Services WMS.
- From the list of services, select the WMS on which you want to create the new hosting.
- In the left menu, click New Webhosting.
- Enter the web hosting name and PHP version, or activate email services.

Activating email services
If you have enough email space on WMS that you have not yet distributed among the other WMS web hostings, you can activate email services for the newly created web hosting and assign an individual mail quota.
More information about emails on WMS can be found in the article WMS – Emails.
After clicking the Activate email services switch, you will see the remaining email capacity indicator and a slider that lets you assign a certain number of GB to the newly created web hosting.

Deleting WMS web hosting
Web hosting deletion uses a trash system. By deleting web hosting, you first move it to the trash, where it is deactivated but still contains data and can be restored at any time. Only from the trash can you permanently delete the web hosting including all files stored on it.
Web hosting data in the trash still takes up space on the web server, and mailboxes continue to receive emails.
We do not back up WMS service data. Permanently deleted services cannot be restored by us!
Web hosting placed in the trash blocks:
- access to domains, aliases, and subdomains pointed to it from the internet,
- creation of services with the same name (Webhosting, alias, WebSite, Mailhosting) at VEDOS,
- SFTP access and access to email mailboxes,
- CRON jobs.
Place web hosting into the trash using these steps:
- Log in to the customer administration ⧉.
- In the top menu, select Hosting Services WMS.
- From the list of services, select the WMS from which you want to delete the web hosting.
- In the left menu, click Webhosting list.
- Click the trash can icon to the left of the selected web hosting and confirm.

Restoring and permanently deleting web hosting from the trash
At the bottom of the web hosting list, you will find the trash, where you can:
- restore web hosting with the green icon ,
- permanently delete it with the red icon .
Using the empty trash button, you will irreversibly delete all web hostings contained in it.

Frequently asked questions
Can I delete web hostings directly without using the trash?
Unfortunately, this is a security measure. The fastest way to delete multiple web hostings is to empty the trash.
