WMS Email Quota
The WMS service includes 5 GB of email space by default. As an add-on service, you can increase this space up to 0.5 TB. You distribute this quota among individual hosting accounts in whole GB. Smaller allocations are unfortunately not supported by the service.
The email space is in addition to the purchased disk space for the website/database.
Activating WMS Hosting Emails
If you are creating a new hosting account, assign it email space according to the instructions in WMS – Webhosting.
You can access the interface for activating and deactivating WMS hosting emails by following these steps:
- Log in to the customer administration ⧉.
- In the top menu, select Hosting Services WMS.
- Select the WMS service you want to modify.
- In the Hosting Accounts table, select the hosting account for which you want to activate emails.
- In the left menu, click Email Settings.
In the email settings, you can activate or deactivate email services by switching the toggle and clicking the Edit email service settings button.
Quota exhaustion
If the quota is used up, you cannot allocate any more space. To obtain space:
- increase the WMS email capacity,
- reduce the email quota of an unused hosting account, or
- delete the unused hosting account with emails entirely.
Adjusting WMS Hosting Email Capacity
To adjust the email capacity of WMS hosting, first open the email settings interface according to the instructions in the section Activating and deactivating WMS hosting emails.
If emails are active, use the slider to set the amount of space you want to allocate to them. Save the setting with the Edit email service settings button.
You can reduce the allocated space only if the total email volume is lower than the newly set mailbox capacity. You can check the email volume, for example, according to the instructions in Emails – Mailbox Usage Check.
Adjusting WMS Email Capacity
To adjust the email capacity of the WMS service, follow the instructions in Emails – Increase Mailbox Space, but instead of the services listed there, select the hosting service WMS.
Warning: if the WMS hosting uses the extension space, you cannot decrease the number of activations of the add-on service, nor can you deactivate it. Follow the instructions in the Quota exhaustion section.
