Mailhosting service
The Mailhosting ⧉ service was created based on customer requests for email mailboxes without the need to purchase Webhosting or the paid version of WebSite at the same time. It works almost identically to the email services of the mentioned products, but you do not pay for a website that you do not use or host elsewhere.
If you want both email and a website at VEDOS, order the Webhosting service, or the paid version of the WebSite service.
Mailhosting also offers:
- 5 GB (Individual) or 1 TB (Business) of email storage (you can increase it up to 505 GB / 5 TB)
- an unlimited number of mailboxes and mailbox aliases
- access to email via a client or in the browser through WebMail ⧉ (manual)
- DKIM, SPF, antispam, antivirus, advanced protection against attacks
- the option of a domain catch-all mailbox (messages sent to any address are delivered to a specific mailbox)

The Mailhosting limitations are the same as for Webhosting and WebSite services, namely:
- maximum number of sent emails per day: 500 in the Individual plan, 2500 in the Business plan (more information ⧉)
- maximum size of outgoing emails including attachments: 100 MB
- it is forbidden to use the SMTP server for mass mailing of emails, including unsolicited ones (more information ⧉)
- the email services do not include: groupware, calendar, data sharing, synchronization, Instant Messaging, VoIP
Mailhosting ordering conditions
Before creating a new order, make sure that:
- You own a domain in your customer account, or have one there, for which you are ordering Mailhosting. Mailhosting can also be set up by an authorized domain user. The exception is ordering the service with a free domain.
- The domain for which you are ordering Mailhosting is not used with another service with email (Webhosting, paid versions of WebSite).
If you want to get a free domain with Mailhosting, create it directly as part of the Mailhosting order. The free-domain offer cannot be applied retroactively to domains ordered and paid for separately.
Mailhosting order
You can order Mailhosting Business with a monthly or yearly billing period. Mailhosting Individual supports only yearly billing.
If you meet the conditions, order new Mailhosting at this link ⧉ by following these steps:
- Fill in the domain and:
- Use the Additional Services to set the required mailbox capacity (the Additional Service with 5 GB capacity is available only for Mailhosting Individual, 1 TB for Mailhosting Business).
- Decide whether you want MX-type DNS records to be entered/changed automatically (applies only if the domain uses WEDOS DNS servers).
- Check the required consents.
- If you are not logged in to the customer administration, log in now ⧉.
- Enter the billing details to which we send invoices and other service-related information, such as breach reports and set limits.
- Enter the service operator details.
- If you are setting up a free domain for mailhosting, fill in its settings and the owner information.
- Check the entered details and complete the order with the Complete order button.

Note that the add-on service to increase email storage by 5 GB is enabled automatically in the order. If you only need a mailbox with a 5 GB capacity, uncheck the add-on service.
If you do not choose payment from the Credit Account when completing the order, the system will send an invoice to the service’s specified billing email.
Mailhosting will be operational within 1 hour of successful payment receipt.
Frequently asked questions
Why can’t I set up Mailhosting when I have Webhosting?
The Webhosting service has email hosting integrated. More information can be found in the guide Emails – Manual.
Why is the service price in the order twice as high as in the offer?
Make sure that the add-on service for increasing email storage by 5 GB is unchecked. Then the prices should match.
