WebMail currently uses the mobile template Elastic by default. The template is not compatible with the desktop template Larry, and switching between these two templates causes display issues in the desktop version. You can find the solution in the Common problems section.
This guide covers the basic use of the WebMail ⧉ interface on a mobile phone. A complete guide to using WebMail can be found in the article WebMail – Manual.
In this article you will learn:
WebMail mobile interface
WebMail currently uses the modern responsive Elastic template for the mobile interface.
We removed the original Larry Mobile template from the system because it was incompatible with the new version of the RoundCube core software. For security reasons (the template itself and the compatible software are outdated), we do not plan to deploy it again.

Common problems
Common problems with the mobile version of WebMail include:
Resetting the Larry template by the mobile Elastic template
Problem: On my computer I have the Larry template set with the List layout (without preview). Whenever I log in to WebMail from a mobile phone, the layout switches to the default Widescreen (3 columns).
Cause: The mobile version uses the Elastic template, which does not use the Layout parameter.
Solution: We are currently working on a solution on our side. In the meantime, you can use this alternative procedure:
- In the customer administration, open the mailbox settings according to the guide Emails – Mailboxes.
- Add any alias to the mailbox. You do not need to change the password.
- Make sure that one mailbox name is used to log in on the PC, and a different one (an alias) is used for the mobile version. Both addresses use the same password.
Frequently asked questions
Can you restore the original mobile WebMail view for me?
Unfortunately not, the previous mobile view has not been maintained by its author for a long time, and deploying it would cause compatibility and security issues for the mail client.
