In this article, you will learn:
WMS Service
WMS (Webhosting Managed Server) is a service created based on customer requests for webhosting with a familiar interface, but VPS performance. It is therefore suitable both for multihosting and for very demanding web applications that are not even served by Webhosting Extra ⧉.
Among other things, WMS offers:
- 1 to 7 dedicated CPU threads
- 8 to 56 GB of dedicated RAM
- 50 to 1000 GB SSD for web and databases (shared)
- 5 GB of space for emails (you can increase it up to 0.5 TB)
- automatic migration from a competitor or from Webhosting and an application installer
- PHP 5.X, 7.X and 8.X
- HTTPS included in the price
You can find the full service description on the WMS product page.
WMS Order
Order a new WMS service in the order form ⧉. It has five steps:
1. Basic information
In the first step, use the sliders to set the WMS server performance.
- CPU and RAM performance is always linked; they cannot be increased separately.
- By default, 70% of the performance and SSD is allocated for the web and 30% for databases. If you want to adjust the ratio, enable advanced configuration. The ratio of resources for the web and database can be adjusted later.
You can increase WMS performance at any time, but the system does not support lowering the parameters.

You can never set the web or database resources to 100%. Each component always needs at least some minimum resources for the service to function. The reserved performance and disk space in the advanced configuration sliders are marked in dark gray (you cannot move the slider handle there).
In the next sections, set:
- Add-on services. You can change the selection later in the customer administration.
- Billing period. Select monthly or annual billing. Monthly billing increases the service price by 10%.
- Gifts. Choose whether you want a gift with WMS.
2. Login/registration
In this step, log in or register in the customer administration.
If you are already logged in to the administration, the system will skip this step.
If you have trouble logging in, follow the instructions in Administration – Login Problems.
3. Billing information
Billing information may differ from the account owner’s and the service operator’s details. The system will send all billing and communication regarding service setup to the specified email address (and only to that one).
You can update the billing information for the service later according to the instructions in Services – Billing Information.
4. Operator
In this step, fill in the details of the WMS operator with whom VEDOS will conclude a data processing agreement.
The WMS operator has no special rights regarding the service. In the event of a dispute, VEDOS considers the customer whose account the service is handled in to be the service owner, unless a court or other competent authority decides otherwise.
5. Completion
In this step, carefully check the entered details, especially the billing email address, which the system will use to send an email about the WMS setup after the service is created.
At the end of the order, you can choose to pay via the Credit Account.
After submitting the order, the system will immediately send you an email with payment details. After successful receipt of payment, it will set up the service within 1 hour.
Frequently Asked Questions
How do I set up webhosting on WMS?
Detailed instructions can be found in the article WMS – Webhosting.
Which WMS performance corresponds to Webhosting?
Unfortunately, these services cannot be effectively compared. If you are getting WMS because the webhosting performance is insufficient, choose the lowest possible performance. If these resources are still not enough, then increase it.
