In this article, you will learn:

VEDOS Customer Administration

You can find the WEDOS customer administration at https://client.wedos.com/ ⧉.

The main navigation elements of the administration are the top and left menus:

  • In the top menu you select the type of service you want to manage. You can also search for a service by number or name here.
  • In the left menu you select the specific action you want to perform.

An intermediate step in this navigation is often selecting a specific service from the list. At the bottom of this list you will find a menu of bulk actions available for the given service type.

Below the list of your services, you will find a list of services made available to you as an authorized user.

By clicking a service in the list, you will enter its details, where you will find basic information, controls, and access to the service’s support.

Basic tasks

The WEDOS customer administration allows the user, with a few exceptions, to manage anything related to their services that can be managed. Only a handful of settings are reserved for customer and technical support. Guides and procedures can be found here in the knowledge base.

Access to administration

To access the administration, create a customer account. You need it both to manage your own services and someone else’s services if another customer adds you as an authorized user.

You can log in and register via third-party services such as Google, Facebook, and others. More information can be found in the article Administration - Shared Login. If you want to secure your account, follow the guide Administration – Customer Account Security.

You do not need a customer account if you want to become the owner of a domain (in the registry) or the operator of a service that your administrator will have in your customer account.

If you already have an account but cannot log in, follow the guide Administration – Login Problems.

Checking system status

The key service status monitor is Status at https://wedos.status.online ⧉. You can find the link together with the status indicator in the top bar of the customer administration. If the indicator is green, the systems are operating normally.

Scheduled maintenance can be found directly in the administration on the Outages, faults and changes page.

Authorized requests

If you come across an action that you cannot perform in the customer administration, send the request to support as authorized, i.e. from the customer account in which the service is located, or which is its authorized user. More information can be found in the article Administration – Request Authorization.

Service management

Some services are managed only partially in the customer administration. These include:

  • Websites on Webhosting and WMS: To manage them, you also use the WebFTP ⧉ interface (Manual) for uploading files and phpMyAdmin ⧉ for managing database content. If you use a content management system on the website (e.g. WordPress), you use that system’s administration, which is completely outside WEDOS management.
  • The WebSite 1.0 service uses only its own interface at wedos.website ⧉.
  • E-mails on Webhosting, Mailhosting, WebSite and WMS: You can partially manage mailboxes via the web client WebMail ⧉ (Manual).
  • The VPS ON and Cloud services are managed using the OpenNebula SunStone ⧉ interface.
